How to Kill a Vampire
Let’s start off with the simple fact that killing a vampire is very hard. In fact, most of those who try to kill one of my kind die, even if they know how to do it. So, in case you are stupid enough to make the attempt, here is a list of what will and will not work.

Holy Water
Aside from getting a vampire wet, holy water will do nothing.

Cross
Why out of all of the religions of the world do you humans believe that a cross will stop a vampire? Would you hold up a Buddha to kill a vampire? This will not work.

Stake in the Heart
If you were to plunge a stake into a human chest, the victim would bleed and eventually die. Perhaps you would hit a vital organ and would cause the body to fail. The same thing goes for vampires. We bleed when stuck by something sharp. We will not, however, blow away in a puff of smoke. In fact, you might find that the vampire you stake lives long enough to kill you for sticking a big stick into its chest. We can also recover from being staked if it is not done right, so don’t think you have killed a vampire just because he has a stake in his or her chest.

Cutting off a Vampire’s Head
Just like humans, if you cut a vampire’s head off he or she will die. If the head is cut off cleanly, there is no way to save the vampire. Of course, getting close enough to cut a vampire’s head off isn’t easy.

Sunlight
Yes, we will die in sunlight. We burn slowly, it is actually like we char. I’ve seen the results and heard tales, but never experienced this myself. Still, I know that as morning comes, my body starts to ache. This is why we hide during the day.
